About Me…
Hi, I’m Janet!
I’ve been sewing since 8th grade Home Ec. class, there I made my first log cabin block and turned it into a pillow. I finished the assignment so quickly that the teacher set me to help my classmates finish their projects. I’ve started this business with helping in mind, I’m motivated by helping others with their creative endeavors. That includes helping quilters with piles of unfinished tops complete their handmade treasures, and helping families remember, memorialize and even grieve by making meaningful items like t-shirt quilts, memory quilts and bears.
Before this quilting journey began in earnest, I was a dance costume maker for almost 15 years. If you are in Dallas, and have ever seen a production by the Dallas Ballet Company, you may see some of my work on stage. Those were fun years, my favorite part was seeing a dancer stand a little straighter and poised when the costume fit just right! I graduated out of that role when my daughters graduated high school and I’ve since relocated to Wyoming, my husband’s childhood home. We are so glad to be near family and build relationships in this wonderful town! After so many life changes: a cross-country move, an empty nest, a couple of grandbabies, I’m happy to settle in to some meaningful quilting work, lets talk!
